    Champalou Vouvray Brut

    Certified Haute Valeur Environnementale and Terra Vitis, in conversion to organic. 45-year-old Chenin vines on clay limestone. A blend of 2015,2016 and 2017. Three years on lees in bottle. RS 3g/l. 

    Deliciously fresh, appley nose. Dry, chalky and tingling with fine fizz and life. This is truly delicious! It's packed with apple and ripe citrus but there's also an unusual and rather moreish dried-herbs savour to it. In fact it reminds me just a little of lemony goat's cheese rolled in ash and oregano. A little smoky,cat-like flick of the tail at the end. So much substance here!
